About the Author
Sadegh Shajari is a former senior official at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), advisor to Iran’s vice president, as well as associate professor and member of Iran’s Scientific Research Council. We bought an air fryer on or around Black Friday and then had no idea what to do with it. Enter Emma Katie's fabulous new Air Fryer Cookbook that has given us so many delicious and easy to make recipes for this new kitchen gadget. There is something here for every meal of the day, including snacks, and we are really enjoying making some of our favorite fried foods that won't clog our arteries quite as quickly. Definitely recommend this one.

Excited to try all these in our new air fryer

When I first heard about air fryers I thought, oh yay this will do to food what air poppers did to popcorn. Ruin it. I was so wrong! We got one thinking we'd be healthier but not happier with the food. This collection of air fryer recipes has us sold on air frying. Sure the French fries were great, but Asian Style Chicken? Stuffed Apples? I had no idea how versatile an air fryer could be until I got this cookbook. I'm so excited to try these out and they're all so simple to follow that I'm having fun making them. Great collection!

What is great about this book is that you won't need weird ingredients or trips to specialty stores for ingredients. Most of these recipes are easy to follow, easy to make, and taste AMAZING!

This book has a HUGE collection of recipes! There are literally a thousand different recipes! I love how easy to follow they all are, and each one includes the amount of time it will take to make it and the total servings. It is full of delicious creations! This book also provides you with nutritional information, so you know!

One thing that is consistent in Emma Katie's books is you can expect delicious recipes that are extremely well written, organized, and easy to follow. It's hard to mess up these recipes!

Interesting logistics and a quick read

This was a step back in time to camping before all the luxuries of cell phones and wifi. It was an interesting and quick read, with great photos that show us what the times were like. The logistics of getting the wounded out of the valley when roads were blocked, and getting help to those who had no means of letting others know where they were show us how much disaster relief and rescue assistance has improved in recent years. A great read.

Energy Work Plus some good Historical Information

The Hexagradior is an interesting book. I'm not sure that it lives up to it's subtitle "The Bible of Magic," but it does cover a lot of ground over a relatively short number of pages. Subjects covered are as diverse as palmistry, astrology, "opening rituals" of the demonic, satanic, and wiccan variety, a brief introduction to many popular grimoires (and some obscure ones) and traditional magical texts, along with a collection of spells at the end that come from both traditional sources (such as the Solomonic traditions of magic) and a few non-tradional sources ("private grimoires" and Huson's "Mastering Witchcraft" to name a couple).

The Hexagradior text proper is a short work on what I can only call energy working. The text covers the theory of subtle matter and its transmission and control, along with a number of exercises to get one familiar with the practical applications of the energy in question. Throughout the text the author discusses russian research on the para-normal, which was very interesting! One thing that did dissappoint me, however, was the fact that the theory and techniques in the Hexagradior were never applied directly to the spells at the end of the book. Some applications are, of course, self-explanatory, but suggestions on how to apply the energy work to such things as doll-magic and so on would have improved the usefulness of the book. Especially since the Hexagradior text declares it is able to make anyone with dedication enough to apply its techniques an effective magician.

In closing I'd like to comment on the author's distate for the word "the." Throughout the work it is simply missing. This doesn't offer too much confusion, but it does occassionally throw the reader off track. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but I found it annoying.

Pros and Cons

The Hexagradior is a volume of information that I strongly suggest being a part of anyone's personal occult library. However, with that being said I do want to list the pros and cons for the work.

PROS:
* Well written and presented in a direct format.
* A very interesting historical backgrounds concerning occult tests.
* Though brief, a very informative section upon the most recognized grimoires
* The spells are interesting that are within the last part of the book.

CONS:
* The Hexagradior Text itself is a bit brief with it's steps when it comes down to the sensations one will feel if done properly.
* The practical application in magic of what is learned from the Hexagradior is not directly spoke of, which in my opinion could cause a few people whom are inexperienced to be lost in its use.
* Some of the spells in the last part of the book are impractical for use in the world we live in today due to reagents use for the spell. Example: The Hand of Glory calls for the right or left hand of a criminal hung exposed on a main road.
(Note: The author does not claim to have written the spells in the book, but does list where they were taken from; therefore, it is more for an example of how similar spells from different sources have similar and different aspects of casting/use.)

Over all The Hexagradior deserves 5 stars easily for the amount of information presented within its pages. For a beginner, the book is great and I can say the same for those more experienced as well. As far as, "Does it work?" well, before I ever had access to the Hexagradior I accidentally found the energy/ether written about and have made use of it years before the Hexagradior came in print within this volume. Yes, it does work, though results will vary with each person because of natural talent if you jump in head first without truly understanding what you are using.

Great reference book but also good for people new to cardiac surgery.

This book was such a good deal I couldn't help but add it to my library. I think it is well oriented to all persons (RNs, CRNA, CCPs) new to cardiac surgery. It focuses on all aspects of the surgical procedure and is well written. So easy to read and understand. Even after seven years I still reference it.

PreS-K—Borrowing a scheme from Aesop, Lewis and Felix tell a tale of reciprocal rescue, with plenty to enjoy in the viewing. The story opens and closes with a trade-off between a toothy, realistic crocodile and a band of oddly humanoid fireflies. Snout is most amenable when the rainy season floods his river home, impeding the travels of smaller animals. The soggy fireflies, carrying leaf umbrellas in human hands, line up along the crocodile's scaly back and inside his open mouth. "So off they went." Told with economy, the text is handsomely amplified in broad spreads featuring large, close-ups of the animals in the murky terrain. The fireflies are followed by a succession of other creatures whose passage is recorded in a series of wordless pages. These unnamed neighbors-a hedgehog, a pair of frogs, a squirrel, and a family of mandrills-appear in more natural forms, albeit posed in comic stance. The frogs peering down over the crocodile's snout and squirrel's tail arched overhead as an awning convey much about their stormy journeys. "Finally, the sun gulped up all the water. Snout had drifted far down river." The crocodile, now weary and disoriented as night falls, is led back across dry land to his river by those bug-eyed, enormous fireflies. So, as the old fable tells us, one good turn deserves another, and the small can save the mighty, after all. The moral is left fo readers to discern. The spare text would be flat by itself, but the pictures can almost tell the whole tale. The ugliness of the fireflies, seemingly out of character with the other drawings, is perhaps intended for comedy, but the real humor is in the trips made by their fellow creatures.—Margaret Bush, Simmons College, Boston

During the rainy season, Snout the crocodile watches the river rise. Sparkle the firefly asks Snout to carry a group of “soggy fireflies” across the river, as they cannot fly in the rain. After the obliging croc helps them, other neighbors ask for rides as well. On wordless double-page spreads, Snout ferries frogs, a squirrel, and a family of mandrills across the water. Downstream when the rains end and the river dries up, Snout is lost until the fireflies find him, light his way, and guide him home. Lewis, a former Children’s Poet Laureate of the United States, tells Snout’s story with simplicity and grace. Felix, a Swiss artist, contributes a series of engaging watercolor-and-pencil illustrations that bring the gently personified animal characters to life within a vividly realized African setting. My 3 year old LOVES this book which we originally discovered at the library. She kept asking for "Good Ship" so I bought it for her at Christmas. The illustrations are beautiful.
