Raised in Western New York, Eric Dontigney has lived in New Mexico, Florida, Wisconsin, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. He currently resides in Memphis, TN. He enjoys jogging, swimming and producing short, silly, stop-action claymation. He is a fan of photo-realism paintings, coffee and well-made food. He has a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Liberal and Integrative Studies. Not wishing to tarnish the good names of writer's who have come before him, he refuses to name influences. He will admit to reading Neil Gaiman, Harlan Ellison, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ayn Rand, Stephen J. Cannell, Jim Butcher, Kate Chopin, Edgar Allen Poe, Shakespeare, Camus, James Baldwin, Tim O'Brien, Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, and Stephen King.

A Page-Turner

I had read the original version, and reread the expanded version in preparation for the too-long-awaited second novel. I thoroughly enjoyed it both times, always reading "just one more" chapter. Then another. And one more. Great characters, engrossing plot, fascinating world. I CAN'T WAIT for the second novel to come out!

Fast Paced Adventure and Action

Do you enjoy reading a good fantasy novel full of magic, monsters and heroes? What if the book was a modern day thriller and not an ancient tale? Falls by Eric Dontigney is just such a book. It is an excellent read full of adventure.
The storyline is well thought-out and easy to follow. It kept me on the edge of my seat during the entire book. It is full of action and fast paced adventure. I really like the way Eric weaved his tale.
The characters were well developed and very believable. It was easy to identify with them and follow their trials and tribulations.
I really enjoyed reading this book.
I highly recommend Fails by Eric Dontigney.

Good entertainment

I read the original Falls in paperback; the new extended version was my first Kindle book. It was a treat! There was enough new material to make it worth reading again, not so much though as to change the overall feel of the book. Eric wasn't re-creating the wheel with an extended version, just cleaning up a few things and making the characters a little fuller.
Overall, the characters are very relatable. As I was reading and getting to know Sam Branch I found myself thinking I know this guy (minus the magic wielding). He's the kind of character that despite his shortcomings, you want to see succeed. Falls is a fun read- that doesn't require you to have an extensive knowledge of the genre to understand or appreciate.
